Attention Bookworms!

Hey all you bookworms out there. I need some help.

As you know, I'm in a bookclub and I've been assigned to pick the July book. I have no idea what to pick. I love to read, but in the past few years my booklist has been quite short.

It is a bookclub with some ladies from my church so keep that in mind when you make suggestions. It doens't have to be a Christian book, by any means, but I would like to keep it appropriate.

These are the books we've already read or plan on reading:

The Persian Pickle Club

Plainsong

Sisterchicks on the Loose

A Bride Most Begrudging

Peace Like a River

My Sister's Keeper

If you know of any great books out there, I would love to hear about them.

Thanks!

How cool! All the books I've been reading recently are detective novels, not something I think is on the list. Ones I would recommend are Evidence Not Seen, by Darlene Deibler Rose, an autobiography of a missionary in the South Pacific during WWII. Another is Captivating, by John and Staci Eldredge.

Read Thorn In My Heart by Liz Curtis Higgs....awesome book. The other books I have read recently are only on a third grade level seeing as how I don't really have time to read for pleasure during the school year! I did just finish (today in fact) Grace In Thine Eyes which is the 4th book in the series that starts with Thorn In My Heart. It was also Awesome and I LOVED it. My mother in law says the books by Karen Kingsbury are very good....One Tuesday Morning is the name of one I think...about 9/11 and then there is another one after that. Hope this helps a little!
