1...2...3...CLEAR!!!!
I'm crashing folks, could someone please grab the defibrillators!
I don't know what has come over me in the past few weeks, but I need some serious help! I'm beginning to believe that I just might be losing it! I used to pride myself on my remarkable ability to remember anything and everything without ever writing it down. Those days are gone! I now need to apparently write down my name so I don't forget that if someone should ask me. I can't remember a thing, and it is driving me crazy!
You all know that my 4 year old, Emily is coming near to the end of her ballet classes for the spring. She will be finishing up the season with her recital on June 3rd. She is so excited about being on the stage to perform. Jimmy and I are just as excited and are anxiously awaiting the big day. Well, a few weeks ago the dance school sent out their monthly newsletter talking about when recital tickets would be going on sale. April 28th. I made a mental note of this (my first mistake) and told myself I would write it on my fridge calendar when I got home. It took me a few days, but I finally did remember to write on the 28th square, "Buy recital tickets!" I think I may have even circled it. A lot of good it did! Guess when I remembered to buy the recital tickets? Last night! Almost a week and a half after they started going on sale!
So I went online last night to purchase the tickets and I immediately freaked out! I sat looking at the screen before me and found myself staring at a bunch of red squares and maybe 10 randomly spaced out green squares. The reds of course being the "reserved" seats and the green ones the "available" seats. I'm not kidding you! All the good seats were gone! The last row, and I mean the very last row had about 8 seats available. There were also a few "green" squares on the aisle seats starting from about he 4th row back. I had to purchase 3 seats. One for me, Jimmy and Peyton. John and Meredith were wanting to come, but I don't see that happening. I did not want to sit on the back row, so my only other choice was to purchase 3 seats on the aisle. There were not even 3 seats next to each other, so I had to get the 3 aisle seats on rows 4, 5 and 6. Not cool! Poor Peyton is gonna have to sit next to some stranger while her Daddy and I are sitting one and two rows behind her.
I went into the dance studio office this morning while Emily was in class. I had ordered the tickets online last night, but I had to take the printed receipt to the office to pick up the "real" tickets. While I was in there I heard the ladies in there talking about how they had sold out of tickets. Can you believe that! Thank God I finally remembered last night, or I wouldn't have been able to see Emily dance in that $75 outfit on stage.
I don't know what my problem is lately! I know I'm trying to juggle a lot, but two years ago I could do it with ease. I would love to go back to the days when I just forgot the milk or the bread instead of my children and important recital tickets!
